Dariush Ghaffari, MD joined ACUTE CARE, INC. in early 90’s, nearly 26 years ago. He has been serving as the Emergency Department Medical Director at Floyd Valley Healthcare, an ACUTE CARE, INC. partner, for nine years. He is a Board Certified Family Physician with special interest in Emergency Medicine.

Dr. Ghaffari is a graduate of Ross University, School of Medicine, New York, New York. He completed two years of General Surgery and earned his preliminary diploma with high marks with emphasis in Trauma and Emergency Medicine at Maimonides Medical Center/State University of New York school of Medicine Downstate in Brooklyn, New York. He then attended University of Nebraska School of Medicine in Omaha, completing a full Family Medicine program with core interest in Emergency Medicine.

“The post-graduate training in a university setting gave me a great all-around education that not only enabled me to serve the entire family in a large metropolitan and urban setting as a family physician, but also gave me a tremendous confidence and skills needed to be able to serve in rural Emergency Departments.”, reports Dr. Ghaffari.

Dr. Ghaffari has an active Family Medicine practice in Omaha, Nebraska. He holds staff membership privileges at CHI, Bergan Mercy/ Creighton University School of Medicine, Methodist Hospital, and Methodist Women’s Hospital in Omaha.

His compassionate caring attitude with excellent care delivery has been a complement to Floyd Valley Healthcare’s team where the motto, “Best Care, Every Patient Every time” has placed the hospital not only among the top 20 Critical Access Hospitals in the nation three years in a row but also has been instrumental in many other distinguished awards that Emergency Department has received for past several years.

Dr. Ghaffari’s other interests are inventing and developing medical devices. He is holding patent on several devices that are in developing and manufacturing phases.

Dr. Ghaffari reports, “I am always thinking to find a better way to serve patients in an ever changing health care delivery system.”
